June 9, 2022 (Postponed June 30th possible)
Fishing Trip
The fishing trip will be on Thursday June 9th from 2:00pm until 7:30 pm. If you have never been on a fishing trip, now is your chance. Fishing is a fun way to spend time getting to know your fellow members of the Old Guard. The boat is the Snow Goose which sails out of Port Chester. This is not a "shoulder-to-shoulder-let's get-our-lines-tangled" trip. The Old Guard will be the only people on the boat, aside from the Captain and the crew. The minimum number of people allowed on the boat is 15 and the maximum is 20. Mates will be available to help you with rods and reels, untangling lines, teaching you how to put bait on the hook, help with taking the fish off the hook, determining if the fish is a “keeper”, cleaning the fish, etc. The cost is $80 per person and includes: Boat, rod & reel, bait, pool, tips for mates and free parking. The pool is for the largest “keeper” fish caught.
Cost of trip does not include any drinks or food. Food and Drink are not available for sale on the boat.
What should you bring:
-Yourself
-Cooler with ice (for your drinks, food and any fish you may catch)
-Sunscreen
-Hat
-Rain gear (if the weather calls for it)
-Rag to wipe your hands, clothes, etc.
-Waterproof bag (ziplock is fine) for your phone or anything else you want to keep dry.
-Guests if there is room
Notes:
-Fishing license is not required.
-Beer and tobacco products are permitted for our 21 and over guests.
-Check the weather and dress appropriately. A rain date depends on the boat availability.
Free Parking is available in front of the Bartaco Restaurant at 1-11 Willet Street Port Chester.
-Do not bring anything or wear anything that you don’t want to get wet or have fish or bait spilled on.
-Footwear is a personal preference. Some people wear sneakers. Some people wear sandals. Some people wear big rubber boots.
-The boat will not sail with less than 15 paid guests
The day of the trip you must be on time! The boat will leave without you.
If you are interested, please call or email me.
Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis We currently have 17 signed up for the trip so there is still room if you haven't made a reservation.
