OLD GUARD PRAYER

We can't lift as much as we used to We can't run as fast as we did We're not as good look'in Nor fit-as-a-fiddle As we were when each was a kid But if you're in search for some fellows To help in your work - just a bit We still think pretty good ‘Cause we each have withstood The temptation to just sit - sit - sit The Old Guard would like to be useful Does somebody need us today? Would a grin or a buck Change somebody's luck? Show us Lord, what role we can play The Old Guard is made up of fellows Who think pretty much as you do So give us a holler For a smile or a dollar For the honor and glory of - You Amen |
